My "why" Behind my Work
Stage lights, glittering makeup palettes, aroma of hairspray, countless bobby pins and the thrilling, electric energy behind the heavy velvet curtains have all become a nostalgic signal for "it's showtime".
It was under the lights that my love for dance and performance first ignited. During private lessons, my teacher taught me that true grace was born from disciplined practice. But it was in the lively, chaotic rehearsals of the Operatic Theatre School and Dance Festivals where the real magic happened.
Surrounded by a tight knit community of fellow dancers and performers, I learned the power of moving as one collectively creating something beautiful and grand. I discovered that the most powerful performances weren't about individual talent or chasing perfection, but the shared passion, hard work and silent communication where everyone felt energy, trust and empathy. The audience watched.
This foundation led me to pursue Performing Arts and Dance in further education, deepening my craft and understanding for the art form.
But my "why" truly crystallised when I began working in a community primary school. It was there that I saw how a simple lack of access can stand in the way of a child or young persons artistic potential. The realisation fuelled a new purpose and now my work extends beyond one classroom, reaching multiple schools and community initiatives to create new and exciting opportunities.
I believe every child or young person deserves the opportunity to experience the confidence and joy that comes from creative movement and performance. I aim to cultivate the next generation of compassionate, expressive artists helping them find their voice on their own stage, no matter where it is.

Education Programme
ATN active takes care of the educational planning. We don't believe in a one size fits all approach, we work with you to create a programme that addresses your schools specific needs and objectives.
Our programmes include full schemes of work inclusive of cross-curricular links or chosen themes and/or specific celebrations, detailed lesson plans for the intended classes and supportive assessment materials that measure physical, creative and performance skills to help track and report student development in dance.
This provision helps schools meet the expected curriculum goals while delivering a creative, engaging and enriching physical education for all students.

Cross-curricular Programme
ATN active believes that learning should be an immersive and dynamic experience. Our innovative cross-curricular programmes fuse the art of dance with core academic subjects for example, science, maths and history.
Through movement and choreography, students explore the fascinating phenomena of our natural world. They’ll master mirroring techniques to understand symmetry, use their bodies to explore geometric shapes, or tell the story of historical shifts through different dance genres.
By transforming complex concepts into a creative and physical journey, we ignite curiosity and deepen understanding. Watch as your students connect with learning in a whole new way.
Extra-curricular Programme
ATN active creates a supportive and welcoming environment beyond curriculum time. Our vibrant extra-curricular programme is more than just a club; it's a platform for celebration and inclusion. The programme provides a powerful incentive for students to get involved and stay engaged.
Encouraging teamwork, creativity and personal growth, each term we work with your students to create a special final performance for the school community giving every student - regardless of experience - the chance to take centre stage. It's a joyful occasion that celebrates individual achievement, creating positive memories for students, staff and parents/carers.
We handle all of the logistics to provide a smooth and safe experience for everyone.
